Raw Food Classes

Join us at the Raw and Juicy Kitchen in Point Washington to learn the art of live food preparation.  We offer a variety of hands-on classes where you can learn techniques that include dehydration, fermentation, blending, tempering, juicing and processing, knife skills, plating and presentation.  Classes are taught by Raw Food Chefs from Matthew Kenney Culinary.  Space is limited, RSVP by calling 850-231-5002

We also host raw food dinners at the kitchen for private parties or events, call for details or to make a reservation.

 

July 1

Raw Chocolate Making Class   6-8pm   $45

Cacao is one of the most powerful antioxidants on our planet. In this class you will learn to temper chocolate, match flavor profiles and create your own delicious chocolates and truffles, healthy treats that everyone will love. Hands-on as always, take home chocolate from this class!

July 8

The Art of the Salad   6-7:30pm   $35

Keep it light and fresh!  Learn the Art of Building a Salad, from knife skills, to the proper treatment of fresh ingredients we’ll show you how to slice and dice like a pro. Also learn the correct proportions to make a dressing and create your own. This is a hands-on class.

July 15

Fermentation   6-8pm   $45

Fermentation is an ancient preservation technique that has been used as a way of storing food for centuries. In this class learn how to make this enzyme rich food full of probiotics. Boost your immunity, increase digestive power and have more energy. Call to reserve your place in the fermentation class and create fun fermented foods with our experienced staff.  Hands on, take home your own creation!

July 22

Summer Soups   6-7:30pm   $40

Beat the heat! Summer soups are the perfect dish to keep meals light and nourishing and to enjoy so many of the delicious fruits, vegetables and herbs in season.  Learn how to make three types of raw soup in this class, a light broth, a chunky gazpacho style soup and a creamy raw soup. These dishes make simple quick meals or snacks for your self or your family, and are perfect for entertaining, and keeping it fresh and seasonal!  This is a hands-on class, prepare to make delicious soups of your own!

July 29

$50 for mom or pop and me

Back to school smoothie class!  Learn to prepare balanced and nutritious smoothies perfect for breakfast or an afterschool snack. Find out what components make up a complete smoothie and how to prepare them.  Learn the benefits of superfoods, fats and greens and how to use them to boost the nutrition of your smoothie. Prepare fresh nut milks, and build your own smoothie in this class!

August 12
